Lion Trackhire

Convex Capital originated and led the sale of Lion Trackhire, the original pioneer of trackway, ground protection, portable roadways and crane stability for the Events, Construction, Utilities and Energy industries, to Ashtead Group plc in a transaction which valued the business at £38m.

 

Lion Trackhire are the founders, pioneers and experts of portable roadways, with depots across the UK, France and Germany they serve all of Europe and consult around the globe.

Based in Worksop, Lion Trackhire was established in 2009 by Dale Robinson and Carl Springthorpe. Today it is the largest and most decorated portable roadway company in the world.

The shareholders of Lion Trackhire were advised by Convex Partner Chris Froggatt, whilst the deal was originated in-house by James Edge.
