Convex Capital have acted as exclusive advisor to the Shareholders on the sale of Practical Vision Limited (trading as Lawyer Checker), the leading provider of risk and fraud protection solutions to the UK’s conveyancing sector, to Dye & Durham (D&D), one of the world’s largest providers of cloud-based software and technology solutions to the global professional services industry.
Lawyer Checker was founded by Chris Harris and Karen Babington in 2011 and uses intelligence, technology, and data to protect lawyers and their clients throughout the property conveyancing process. The Company is based in Tarporley, Cheshire and brings together a team of 25 legal technology experts into the Canadian listed, Dye & Durham network of companies, becoming a vital tool in D&D’s suite of technology-enabled solutions to the financial, legal and government sectors.
The Convex deal team was led by Chris Froggatt, Tom Campbell, and Oliver Hennessy. Rob Hodgkinson identified Dye & Durham as the strategic purchaser.
