Shade Station
Convex Capital has acted as exclusive advisor to the Shareholders on the sale of Shade Limited t/a Shade Station, one of the UK’s largest independent online retailers of sunglasses, prescription glasses and fashion accessories, to Internet Fusion Group, a specialist global e-commerce aggregator offering lifestyle products across surf, skate, snow, equestrian, as well as premium street and outdoor fashion.
Headquartered in Altrincham, Shade Station was founded by Jocelyn Anders and David Allen in 2000 and has experienced fast growth globally, selling premium sunglasses, glasses, and other related fashion accessories. Shade Station also operates an onsite optical glazing lab which offers single vision prescription lenses in more than 5,000 designer glasses across 100 brands.
The Convex deal team was led by Tom Campbell and Olly Hennessy. The transaction was originated by Warren Meggitt and James Edge.
